'3:10 to Yuma' was released in the United States on this day in 2007. James Mangold's remake of the 1957 film of the same name tells the story of Dan Evans (Christian Bale), an impoverished rancher who takes on the dangerous task of bringing notorious outlaw Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) to justice.

The movie was originally scheduled for an October 5th release but was brought forward a month by Lionsgate to beat other new westerns 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' and 'No Country for Old Men' meaning the studio was unable to use the Toronto International Film Festival as a platform for its release.
