'Avengers: Infinity War' opened in theaters across North America on this day in 2018, as part of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Christopher Marcus and Stephen McFeely, the movie is a sequel to 'The Avengers' (2012) and 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' (2015) and the 19th instalment in the MCU.

With an estimated budget of $325-400 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made but went on to be one of the most commercially successful, grossing over $2 billion at the box office worldwide.
