Anjelica Huston was born on this day in 1951. The actress, director, producer, author and former fashion model is the daughter of legendary director John Huston and granddaughter of actor Walter Huston. She made her screen debut in her fathers film 'A Walk with Love and Death' (1969) before moving from London to New York where she worked as a model throughout the 1970s.

She returned to acting in the 1980s and her breakthrough came with her performance in 'Prizzi's Honor' (1985) for which she won the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award. Further success followed with starring roles in 'Crimes and Misdemeanors' (1989), 'The Grifters' (1990), 'The Witches' (1990) and 'Manhattan Murder Mystery' (1993). She has been much loved by audiences for playing Morticia Addams in 'The Addams Family' (1991) and its sequel 'Addams Family Values' (1993).

In the 2000s Huston worked frequently worked with director Wes Anderson, starring in 'The Royal Tenenbaums' (2001), 'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou' (2004) and 'The Darjeeling Limited' (2007). More recently she appeared alongside Keanu Reeves in 'John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum' (2019) and in 'Waiting for Anya' (2020). Happy Birthday Anjelica.
