English actor Orlando Bloom was born on this day in 1977. Bloom made his big screen debut with a minor role in 'Wilde' (1977). His breakthrough role came when he was cast as Legolas in 'The Lord of the Rings' film trilogy (2001-2003). Another significant role for Bloom has been his portrayal of Will Turner in the hugely successful 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film series (2003-present).
