Having been delayed three times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' was finally released in US theaters on this day in 2020. It was the first major motion picture to open after the pandemic shutdown and went on to gross $363 million worldwide.

'Tenet' received favourable reviews from the critics and won Best Visual Effects at the 93rd Academy Awards.
