'Under Siege' opened in US theaters on this day in 1992. Andrew Davis' action thriller stars Steven Seagal as former Navy SEAL turned cook Casey Ryback, who takes on a group of terrorists led by Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey aboard the USS Missouri.

The movie was a critical and commercial success and was followed by a sequel: 'Under Siege 2: Dark Territory' (1995) which was less well received.
